It’s not really hard to do if you are using WordPress. But, if you’re not you might want to get some image editing tools so that you can control the size of the image files. Photoshop is widely known as the standard in image editing and prep. What a lot of folks don’t know is that you can also use GIMP or Paint Shop Pro. Both programs have a lot of the functionality of Photoshop. Paint Shop Pro is much more inexpensive than Photoshop and GIMP is free. To learn more about these two products visit these links:

Just wanted to drop a note to you and let you know what is planned in the coming weeks.

This month we will be focusing on e-mail attacks and strategies you can employ to reduce the amount of junk e-mail and other “attacks” against your peace and quiet.

Articles will be posted here on the site detailing such tasks as properly setting up your e-mail accounts on your servers so that they properly block spam attacks.

A list of “fake” addresses that have been resolved via our own investigations and the types of e-mail sent using them will be posted here on the site as well. (Think  “UPS Delivery Problem” when you are not expecting anything from UPS ..ESPECIALLY when you consider they are sending you email and you have never given it to them.)

Too many times, it seems that people are trying to set up a web site and run into a number of problems. From not clearly understanding the terminology of the web to overpaying for the services that they receive.

The email contains URLs (internet links)  that are already on a number of spam block listings. The sender’s address is not recorded in any DNS records or email MX records. And the message is tagged as FORGED mail pretending to be from a computer running Microsoft Outlook.
