Thanksgiving

So here we are at the beginning of “that time of year” we lovingly call Thanksgiving.

This is the time when people get together and do things as they celebrate Thanksgiving.

As SolidHostDesign heads into another year of possibilities, potential triumphs and pitfalls

I have found myself questioning all lot of what goes on during this particular holiday.

I see people “celebrating” Thanksgiving but not really giving thanks.

What’s up with sitting in parking lots before the crack of dawn to be first to get some thing?

As bad as things are for too many of us, I observe far too many of us celebrating what we have instead of giving thanks for what we have not had to deal with. I believe if we observed this time with that slant, far fewer of us would have to “observe the holiday” while bearing the crushing burden of unemployment, poverty, homelessness, foreclosure and worse on this day and those to come.

Maybe while contemplating all those things, those of us who are fortunate enough to have should pay closer attention to those of us who do not have much of anything.

Maybe we should consider the idea that maybe things are out of balance for a reason. That maybe we should strive for balance in order to meet our own best interests.

Instead of striving to meet the interests of those who have consistently demonstrated they do not have our best interests in mind at all.

No one can claim to be all knowing and we should always contrast what we read and hear with why we read and hear the things we do.

We should always consider who is putting forth the ideas we are presented with and why they do so and be thankful to be wise enough to do so.

I suspect if we spend the coming months doing just that, we may find ourselves even more thankful for our situations next Thanksgiving.

Just a thought.

Please have a peaceful and fruitful holiday no matter where you are.

All the best to you,

Robert Bennett

Email addresses are made up of two parts: a username and a domain. The username comes before the @ sign, the domain comes after the at sign (e.g., for the address bob@exampledomain.com, “bob” is the username, “exampledomain.com” is the domain). Spammers often try and guess email addresses by trying common usernames. These guessing games are known as a “dictionary attack.” Above is a list of the top-100 usernames guessed by spammers.

SolidHostDesign selected to create Blues Ship Cafe Web Site

Recently, SolidHostDesign has been selected to create a brand new web site for Tampa Bay’s Blues Ship Cafe. SHD has also completed domain registration and is hosting this business’s web site. The new web site will include the capability of online booking of events, dinner reservations, take out meal sales and sales of merchandise currently available at Blues Ship’s brick and mortar location. Blues Ship has also picked SolidHostDesign to begin revamping their Menus and other print material as part of the re-branding effort.

Blues Ship Cafe is a Jazz Blues venue located in Tampa Bay’s Ybor City district that offers a full restaurant, event spaces and performance venue for visiting Jazz and Blues artists. The restaurant has been in operation 22 years and has embarked on an aggressive marketing and re-branding campaign.

SolidHostDesign is honored to have been awarded the opportunity to work alongside owner Linda Wilcox and her team in achieving their goals. We appreciate their support!

Take a look at the site by visiting www.bluesshipcafe.com and if you are within reach of Tampa Bay’s Ybor city stop by. It’s located right on Seventh Avenue at 19th Street.
